چکیده
Background: Total Knee replacement sugery, also called arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure to resurface knee damaged by arthritis. This study investigates the short-term outcomes of total surgeries employing PFC Sigma Rotating-Platform, posterior-stabilized prosthesis. The aim assess clinical and radiological effectiveness this approach in patients with arthritic knees.Aim: primary objective evaluate performed using implant. Methods: A 30 replacements were conducted 24 patients, including bilateral arthroplasties, single team at Indira Gandhi ESI Hospital, Delhi. Pre- post-operative Society scores, range motion, walking ability, results assessed intervals up 2 years post-surgery. Complications monitored, patient subgroups Osteoarthritis (OA) Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) analyzed separately. Results: Pre-operatively, mean score was 31 points, functional 34 points. Post-surgery, significant improvements observed, 85.68 points 71.94 final assessment. Clinical demonstrated 53.33% excellent, 33.33% good, 10% fair, 3.33% poor results. Analysis OA RA revealed distinct responses intervention. Conclusion: utilization implant yielded positive knees. Marked enhancements pain relief, overall quality life evident. These findings underscore efficacy alleviating symptoms improving capacity patients.

Patient Satisfaction Following Total Knee Arthroplasty: Comparison of Short-Term Results in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis
Background: Due to the obvious differences in the natural course of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA),different functional outcomes might be expected after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) in these distinct patients. Althoughseveral studies have reported the objective outcome of TKA in RA and OA patients, few studies have compared postoperativepatient-satisfaction levels. Methods: I...

متن کاملComparison of Clinical Results between Patellar Resurfacing and Non-resurfacing in Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Short Term Evaluation
Background: There is no difference in the functional outcomes 6 months after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for kneeosteoarthritis between patellar resurfacing and non-resurfacing. Thus, we have performed this study to compare theshort-term clinical outcomes of TKA performed with and without the patella resurfacing. Methods: A total of 50 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee (OAK) were random...
متن کاملLong-term results of Geomedic total knee replacement.
Seventy-one Geomedic total knee replacements were reviewed retrospectively at a maximum of eight and a half years. The prosthesis was found to be successful in its primary aim of relieving pain. However, there was an overall failure rate of 18.3%. Analysis of the results by an actuarial method allowed comparison with other prostheses. The factors involved in failure are discussed.
متن کاملShort and mid term results of revision total knee arthroplasty with Global Modular Replacement System
BACKGROUND The original knee megaprostheses with fixed or rotating hinge articulation were custom made and only used for reconstruction of the knee following distal femoral or proximal tibial tumor resections. The aim of the study was to analyze the short- and mid-term results of revision total knee arthroplasty with Global Modular Replacement System (GMRS) used in difficult situations not amen...
